Create cute nature-themed stickers in Microsoft Designer’s Sticker Creator

september 13, 2024

Hi there! My name is Manu and today, I'm excited to share my top five secrets for creating the perfect nature-themed stickers using Microsoft Designer's Sticker Creator. You can use these stickers to brighten up your design projects, send them in messages, in your digital notebooks, or even print them out onto sticker paper. Wherever you need an adorable or relaxing splash of nature, these stickers will deliver.

Follow these five prompting tips and you'll be designing beautiful nature-inspired stickers in no time.

1. Be specific

When creating stickers—especially those featuring flowers, animals, or trees—it can be helpful to have a specific type in mind. This lets you write a more specific prompt, giving you more control over the direction of the final image.

For example, instead of writing the prompt, “flower sticker,” you could write, “a white daisy” or “a colorful bouquet of lilies.” Instead of writing “tree,” write “pine tree” or “Japanese maple.” The extra specificity helps Sticker Creator generate the exact shape and style you’re looking for—which is better than making it “guess” what your ideal tree looks like!

2. Choose the right style

Don't forget to specify the style of your sticker in your prompt. Since I'll be using my stickers to decorate a notebook, I'm going for a fun, cartoon-style design.

Prompt: A cartoon strawberry cow

Experiment with different styles and watch how they can change the output. Here’s the same prompt as before, but I’ve replaced “cartoon” with “realistic:”

3. Keep it simple

When prompting, remember the format the tool is creating. Stickers are simple, focused, and eye-catching. So, you can improve your odds of generating the perfect sticker by keeping your corresponding prompt simple, focused, and concise. Think about the key elements you want to feature and only include those in your prompt. (If you want to create a more complex scene with lots of different elements interacting, try Image Creator instead!)

4. Use descriptive words

Adding descriptive words like "cute" or "kawaii" to your prompt can help Sticker Creator understand the vibe you're going for. These words signal that you want round shapes and adorable faces in your sticker design.

5. Let your imagination run wild

The Sticker Creator tool is all about playing with shapes and ideas, so don't be afraid to get creative! Dream up something totally unique and out of this world, like a "glitterbird" - a bird made of glitter. The possibilities are endless, and you might be surprised by how cute the results can be.
